A few years back, Kabir Khan announced the biopic of famous cricketer Kapil Dev which would feature India’s world cup winning journey of 1983. It is a multi-starrer in which Ranveer Singh will play the lead role of Kapil Dev. It was supposed to release on big screens last year, however, it got postponed due to the lockdown.
But now the makers finally revealed the most-awaited release date of this sports biopic. ‘83’ is all set to hit the theatres on June 4, 2021. Ranveer Singh took on his Instagram handle to share the new poster and release date of this film. The caption of this post reads, “June 4th, 2021 !!!! 🏏🏆 in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. See you in cinemas !!!”

In ‘83’ Deepika Padukone will play the character of Kapil Dev’s wife. Along with them, the fans will also see Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and many more. Now the fans just can’t wait to watch this movie in theatres.
